Buy My Dress raises €60,000!!
After months and months of being surrounded by beautiful dresses our office just just doesn't have the same appeal now!! But while we are disappointed to wave goodbye to all those little black dresses, colourful cocktail dresses and stunning wedding dresses (our final count tallied over 4,000!) we are thrilled to have raised €60,000!
There was great excitement on the day in all three venues and it was great to see so many people going home with smiles on their faces! If you were at the event, we hope you managed to bag yourself a bargain or two and sort your summer wardrobe out!
We will be developing an on-line shop in the coming months to sell all those little gems that were left over (we are still receiving dresses in the post!) so please register with us and we'll let you know when we're live!
On behalf of everyone here in Down Syndrome Centre, we would like to thank you all for your continued support. Whether you donated a dress or two, ran an in-house company collection, acted as a designated drop off point, sponsored a particular part of the event, volunteered your services on the day or in the run up to the event we couldn't have done it without you! We will be in touch with you all shortly to say a proper Thank You!!
Proceeds raised from Buy My Dress 2010 will go to support the continued work of Ireland's only Down Syndrome Liaison Nurse, Angela O'Riordan, and help us fund similar positions in Cork & Galway.

@ciaraleahy Ciara not the best in fairness but we can get someone to get you in the building and then lifts to all floors after.
